As someone who's familiar with many of the previous versions of TMNT, this one is my favourite by far! the animation is clean, smooth, super lively and extremely colourful, there's not a single boring frame in the show. This version focuses on the "teeange" aspect of the TMNT, so it's less serious and more fun and wholesome, however there's still a story being told amidst the standalone episodes, so there are some serious episodes that focus on the story arc. It showcases the theme of family really well, with Splinter being a loving father first and a Sensei second, and the brothers always looking out for each other as usual. I also loved how the turtles were written in this series! Each one of them is a different species of turtle, so there's more individuality in their character designs. Also the switch-up with Raphael being the leader instead of Leonardo was genius! It opened up way more opportunities to develop the two characters; Leo was allowed to be the goofy jokester he is while also being a surprisingly smart strategist, and Raph has to deal with the burden of responsibility, but still gets to goof off and have fun with his brothers. I could go on about how amazing this show is, but this post might get too long. All in all, this show is nothing short of a masterpiece and is definitely worth the watch.
