Although I watch this show regularly, I do think it gives a bad representation of how college is. I dont know anyone walking around a huge college campus in 4 inch heels everyday. I don’t get why they’re able to just buy alcohol on campus when they’re just freshman/sophomores. They could be using fake IDs but that could be a story line. In the first season Zoey has 3 boys fighting to be her BOYFRIEND! You hardly ever hear of real relationships so early into college. Zoey seems to never learn that the world does not revolve around her and that you don’t always get everything you want in adulthood, especially since she KEEPS getting everything she wants in the end. It also hardly focuses on anything academic which is what college is really about. Is anyone a STEM major? Could they focus on the student athlete life? Anyone undeclared? Maybe nursing? What are they actually studying?? Everyone’s more obsessed with relationships than anything else. I just hope the younger kids watching this show don’t expect college to be like this because this is some of the only representation of college life on tv at the moment.
