Overall I quite enjoyed this graphic novel. I thought the story was an interesting one and further set up the events of the first game and built upon some of the question I had about the characters and the world.
The art style all though pleasant I found to be not as fitting as it could have been. As someone who is a big fan of the games, I was expecting something a bit more gritty and maybe more akin to the concept art. Either way, the art was still very well executed for what they were going for.
The major problem I have with this comic is it's length, although it is of high quality don't expect to spend more than half an hour or reading it. So overall the value for money isn't great, hence why I've only given it 3 stars.
Other than that I would still recommend this to fans of the first game who also appreciate graphic novels. I would love to see more comic set in this universe. I feel like there's a lot to explore. I'd love to see more about Tommy and his experience with the Fireflies or how he founded Jackson. Maybe something about the early years of the outbreak with Joel and Tommy. Eitherway I'd love to see more The Last of us Comic Books.
