Breaking Bad.. an argument could be made that this was the best TV series of all time. Definitely one of the best. As far as El Camino? Extremely disappointed... underwhelming, unsatisfied.
No suspense, was never on the edge of my seat, lots of flashbacks that attempt to pull on the strings of nostalgia introducing old characters that offer no substance to the story. For the entire duration of the film it always felt like I was 'getting into the film', like a 2 hour introduction that never surmounts to anything.
To make an ending to one of the best TV series of all time.. you have to do it right, or not at all. You can't finish an amazing show with a bang average film. I was better off NOT knowing what happened to Jesse, now i'll always feel unfulfilled.
The film was ultimately a long and drawn out, lacklustre episode that was just a cashgrab with little thought put into it.
I don't understand all the amazing reviews, it's almost as if the Breaking Bad fans can't bring themselves to say anything bad about the franchise JUST because it's Breaking Bad.
