Tracy Flores – Google

I don't know what I just watched. It was strange, a bit disturbing and sad, but I kinda enjoyed it in the end. It wasn't too bad, but definitely not great either. For its unusual plot, I will say it was done pretty well. I mean a guy gets surgically turned into a walrus... I don't know how else it could've ended lol. The ending bit did get me though, I had a single tear escape, I decent film to watch, but most likely not again. (5/4/24)

It was a very well done movie. I enjoyed the watch, but I probably won't watch again. I know this movie to have amazing reviews, but I can't help to feel that they were a bit too generous. Not to say that the movie was bad, the acting, production, and visuals were all amazing. No doubt whatsoever that this is one of the best movies out there based on the topic of substance abuse. I just feel like there was something missing. SPOILER WARNING: It might just me be, but it was a bit repetitive how throughout the entire film Nic would say he wants to get better, but then relapse again. I know that's part of the process but I was waiting for one final scene to really get me hooked, and it didn't happen for me. The twist at the end how the father told Nic he couldn't come home without going to rehab was what saved the film for me. Didn't really jerk any emotion from me, but overall decent movie! (11/3/22)
