This movie captured the true emotions from the novel from Roxanne coming off as self-centered & bratty to her over looking the love of Cyrano. Granted this one isn't a man with a big nose, but more up to beat with todays time since big noses really aren't an issue anymore. So I'm glad they changed up that concept to allow a younger generation the ability to grasp what was going on. Since I am sure none of them along with 80%+ of that adults haven't read the original. Now for the acting, thank you. I'm sure everyone worked hard yet everyone appeared to be effortless when bringing life to their characters. Which is something you do not see often today. Most actors/actresses force their emotions to the point viewers become detached. I found the balance had the right amount of love, conflict & pause to not overwhelm or underperform when it came to keeping my attention, so that alone sets this film aside from most that I've seen in the past 3-4yrs. All in all I do recommend that everyone gives it a watch even if you're not into musicals. I for one am not myself, but every now & then an amazing piece comes around & catches me off guard, I'm happy to say this was one of them.

Where a lot of people will mention that this scenario has been done before...well true...there aren't any original movie/book/play writes anymore. Every thing can be related to something or another in todays age, we have been making movies for a very long time. Now to the movie, I personally enjoyed it & that is saying quite a bit as I tend to not be easily impressed these days. However the cast no matter how much or little screen time, they really pulled together with on set chemistry making it easy to watch them move through the film. That is a big bonus for me, in many films nowadays actors seem to force expression/emotion & rely a lot on CGI to pull the project in. Not here! When it comes to her being pregnant & the couple arguing...in my personal opinion there wasn't enough. Couples do not function well under stress this has been proven over & over in real life situations. They got along to well! Now for the people annoyed at the fact there was a child to worry about yet again in a movie, that's life. Adults with children do out number those without & those without aren't much for a movie. It's like saying remain single & childless in case we ever find ourselves in this situation in real life. One person is easier to take to then two & a lot easier if you don't have any nosey kids to tend to. Yet what sort of movie would that be, if all it was was a single person trying to survive. But don't we already have a lot of movies like that? Which puts me back at an earlier point, NOTHING is going to be original. When we watch films the story has to be good & in my opinion this one was. The cast as to blend well together & also in my opinion they most certainly did. Granted not everyone will enjoy this film as we all have what we expect from films, but I do recommend people to give it a shot then come to your own conclusion as to where you stand on it. ~Happy snackin -n- watchin~

The movie was okay, they were all relatable. None innocent, none guilty but all in a swirl of emotional coverage.

If I could replace these stars with 5 poop emojis I would. The acting was bad all around not to mention each step was predictable. She's traumatized due to her mother pimping her out, okay sure we get that. But there was 0 relatable actions that the other characters possessed that could be linked to her fascination let alone her melt down. Then her magically befriending a client are you serious, why not her sponsor? This movie hasn't made any sense other then the hate between a mother and her daughter. Unable to connect the story, rushed acting, horrible acting and missing dialog makes this a movie not worth the full watch in my opinion. On top of everything else this wasn't even a "horror" film. I was left in a meh huh umm ok eh *forces oneself to stay awake* for about 92% of the movie. I'm not going to suggest that one doesn't watch it as we all have an idea of what a good flick is, but personally I cannot and simply will not recommend this movie to anyone.
