In my 25 yrs of existence, this is the first Kdrama review that I'll ever be writing online. Also to give you an idea, this review is coming from someone who prefers watching western series over asian series - because I feel like most of them are just too conservative (and exagg/ comical) for my taste. But anyways, I decided to give Kdramas a try because I wanted to take a break from the genres that I've been watching (Super hero, sci-fi, adventure, fantasy, action, thriller, crime) I wanted something refreshing/ a different experience. (Also to see what the Kpop fuss is all about) So... If you are someone like me wondering where to start, I HIGHLY recommend watching Oh My Venus. I enjoyed it very much! It's my favorite so far after my kdrama watching spree - (Birth of Beauty, Oh My Venus, Strong Girl BongSoon[I only watched 1 episode], Goblin[Goblin and Grim Reaper are both cutie pies, the story is good but I got bored with the execution. Also the chemistry between the lead actor and actress is just too weak], Touch Your Heart, I am not a Robot) Summary of my thoughts on Oh My Venus: 1. I liked their humor, I laughed several times 2. I couldn't stop and felt excited to watch the next episode everytime 3. I liked the "erotic" joke scenes/ teasing scenes, something that I did not see on the other Korean series I mentioned. 4. I think the lead actor's body is hot. (It would've been nicer if they showed more LOL) 5. It's very light but heart warming at the same time 6. It's a feel good TV series 7. The script is well written 8. Well-executed (Directing wise) 9. Main actors know how to act - strong character background, good profiling, good build up, chemistry and well established 10. Life lessons included 11. Subtle sexual tension (Asian way) Oh My Venus = Funny, Drama, Heart-warming, Butterflies, Very touching Hope this helps you!
