This show could have been great but whomever was the person or persons who selected the actors or actresses did a horrible job. Plus the director spent way too much time making these people clever rather then believable.
Take Augie for example. She's a runaway model trying to act like she's a physicist. My cat would do a more convincing job. Did she graduate Yale when she was four? Her lips are so over filled it's the only thing you notice.
The guy who plays Jack. I can't stand this actor. The roly poly clown who is sad inside. And he's so clever. He is incapable of playing any other role. Please go away. A guy who's in love with star wars can't accept the obvious that aliens are involved????!!!! Come on.
The actress who plays Jin is actually good but does she have marbles in her mouth? The odd lisp is distracting.
The actor who plays Raj. Let's get another runway model! He's horrible. His acting skills are that of a wooden spoon.
The guy who plays Will, like the actor who plays Jack, also plays this same type over and over again. What a relief when he finally died! I couldn't stand another round of his philosophizing on the beach looking forlorn.
The actor who plays Saul, like the actress who plays Augie, may be a good actor in other roles but he's unconvincing as a scientist and unlikable as well.
This is a 5 body problem. None of these characters are people you root for and care about. The screenplay is terrible. Lots of things make no sense. How, for example, is it possible for these headsets to be created? How did they get here when then san-ti are 4 light years away?
Way too much focus on these characters. The most interesting one in the series was the red guard. She was incredible though her role was small. The actor who plays Clarence is awesome. So is the actor who plays wade. The actress who plays Tatiana is excellent. Her feral glee spot on.
Dr. Ye. The director took the inscrutable Asian to such lengths that the actress was not someone we can connect with and have empathy for despite her tragic story.
I love sci Fi. I've been a lover of sci Fi my whole life so this was a major disappointment. This
was like a sci Fi version of the Love Boat. Ugh.
And speaking of science and logic, there is so much that is screwed up in this story it would take me a day to write down.
Please, san-ti, destroy them all!
