Star wars the rise of skywalker. This movie was neither good or bad. Felt like two movies in one. Trying to fix the controversial the last jedi movie. The way I see it is if you have been a star wars fan for 40 years or caught up with all the lore and love of the movies before this trilogy this movie or trilogy is not for you. The 'sequel' trilogy or now known as the Disney trilogy as I now see it seems to only satisfy the new fans and casual movie goers. This latest trilogy has added nothing from what came before and disrespected the past characters that we came to know and love due to gender politics, political a genders and a clear misunderstanding of star wars. The only thing I am thankful for was Jj fixing the last jedi, finishing questions he started with the force awakens and honouring Carrie Fisher. Her scenes in this movie are flawless like she was still with us. I went into this movie with low expectations and wanted to have a good time but felt the movie had no heart and generated no excitement for me or hope for the future of star wars with Disney, felt so rushed. They truly dropped the ball ignoring George Lucas' treatments, ignoring and insulting the fans and going in without a plan for all 3 movies. Worth a watch on the Disney plus app and not worth the cinema ticket.
