The book is amazing it takes you to this amazingly rich world and engages you so deep it hard to wanna pull out, seriously my mom had to threaten me to get me to sit down this book.
The things I didn't like was the romance I just feel like Tzain and Amari relationship was unnecessary and a little forced, although I didn't mind Inan and Zelies cause they had this deep magic connection and It also includes the fact that he's a connectors maji and he kinda go through her emotions along with her.
The pace of this book is immaculate, It never felt rushed nor did it feel too slow. My favorite character/pov to read about is Inan his constant change of mindset always forced you to see both point of views, the writing in his povs was also a bit better than the others. I always thought amaris povs were annoying and repetitive, they always came at the worst time when I wanted more of the action going on between the other characters.
The writing is amazing but it got a bit repetitive throughout the book But it always kept me engaged. I wanted to know more about the the magic and basically the world they lived in, I felt like most of the different kind of maji wasn't explained all together at once it was just randomly around the book and it seemed like it was expected for you to know each ( it did explain but only a bit I would have liked it to be more in depth).
