It’s well written, acted, filmed, and edited. There’s no out of place social messaging or virtue signaling. No bizarre gender stuff ruining the story. As of episode 3 it was a bit slow and somewhat disinteresting but then episode 4 came and started to put all the preparation to work. By virtue of this I could go back and watch the furst 3 and enjoy them more.
I like this series feels much more in keeping with GRRM’s writing and character dialogue. The hour of the owl, long leagues to travel are just two phrases from the books. The only criticism if I had to say is the CG, looks terrible. Episode 4 didn’t have much if any and it was much more immersive.
I assume in time the budget will grow and CG will get more convincing. However I’m slightly worried because a lot of the cast will be replaced by older versions just when I started to enjoy their younger version’s performances.
Only time will tell but I think this show is my go to now.
