"Spy" (2015) is a comedy that leans heavily on slapstick humor and over-the-top gags. While it stars the talented Melissa McCarthy, who brings her signature energy to the role, the film's reliance on crude jokes—centered around bodily functions and juvenile humor—might not resonate with everyone. The plot, which follows an unassuming CIA analyst stepping into the field, has its moments of charm and wit, but these are often overshadowed by the film's tendency to go for the lowest-hanging comedic fruit. For those who enjoy a mix of action and absurdity, it might still be a fun watch, but it seems like it didn’t quite hit the mark for you.

There is a frame story that develops very slowly, with each chapter offering only a slight advancement. Meanwhile, you have to endure unimportant cases that the lawyers manage to solve at the last minute. The acting is reminiscent of a soap opera or The A-Team. Don't bother.

The film’s acting falls short, and the script lacks depth. While attempting to convey a message, it does manage to authentically depict rural life in Bhutan.

It is toooo looong. The movie goes nowhere. It has repetitive scenes and tries amateurly to weave in historical facts and figures. Don't bother.
