This movie made no sense to me. How this movie won the best picture is still a mystery. Just like the very polarized review, you either love this movie whole heartedly or you toss this movie in the trash where I think it belongs. I watched the entire movie hoping to see what the academy saw that led to the best picture award but the "aha" moment never came. Just maybe there was more to the movie than met my eyes. But then again, I should be able to see that stuff that met the eyes of others but I never did to my disappointment.

I'm not much of a guy that loves to write any kind of review. However, I strongly felt I needed to write something about this movie after I and the kids watched it. The barrage of negative reviews almost made me not want to see this movie. I am so glad I did. This movie was fun for the whole family. You need not watch the original to follow this movie. The story line was fun and interesting. The whole family laughed through most of the movies. Bottom line: I think people should stop listening to reviews and watch whatever movie they want to watch. These reviews get some movies wrong by a very long shot.
