I normally love RPG games that you can get totally lost in. Games such as Skyrim, Fallout 4, Horizon Zero Dawn have hit this spot for me. At the moment I'm about 15hours into red dead redemption 2 (23% total completion) and in exceedingly bored with it. Sure it looks pretty but I find the The story so boring, the controls are terrible (on par with The Witcher 3 for clunkiness,) I have no cares to carry out the detailed regular tasks. I put two hours into playing it last night and I didn't feel immersed by it one bit, I kept putting it in cinematic mode to travel and leaving the room, checking back later to see if I'd finally arrived. I don't think I can put much more time into trying to like this game.
