Its Marvel and the X-Men, it needed to be better. The actors, especially Sofie did a fabulous job, but the writing made it less than exciting. The movie was not long enough or developed enough to connect everything. Why is her family important to her and not just Charles? Jessica Chastain, great actress, but her role was dumb. They should have stuck to the comic book version of her character. Her character has one conversation with Jean and they are on the same side. Famke Janssen had a better version of the Dark Pheonix in the "Last Stand" version.
