As an avid player since the first mortal Kombat game I can say with all honesty this game is weaker then MK11 ,dry unfinished and a repetitive grind for XP,the roster is good but some characters deal half the damage of others ,some have zero mix ups only ending combos overhead or low with hard knock downs ,which makes about 4 characters viable online .they tried to add different cameos to match or compensate for this but they are mostly garbage too. Each player only has one customized item !?some of which are very minor changes so not noticed at all.the story was pretty cool ,but afterwards you're just left with invasion mode and it's awful .I nearly forgot how toxic players are online too just exploiting everything the game hasnt patched or nerfed like 55 percent raiden combos off an air punish poke .overall I will play it till Tekken comes out but compared to the likes of Street fighter 6 solid release you're better off playing that

A good entry for an almost forgotten series ,I gotta say it's nice to actually be anxious playing this game again ,if you havent played these games before let me enlighten you .essentially a ghost hunting game where your camera is you're "weapon" ,taking photos of ghosts weakens them till they are defeated but make no mistake these games are at times genuinely nerve racking and actually scary ,unlike most survival horrors .my only cons were the controls (PS5) super sensitive with no real way of adjusting to be exactly how you want it and If you played crimson you know it's almost impossible to beat in terms of how perfect it is.other then that it's a great game and you should definatley give it a go !
