Trese showcased a lot of Filipino culture, such as the jeepney, our national custom, mainly the characters themselves, which were really awesome. However, I felt that the storyline could've been better by developing the relationship of the characters. There were limited background and on my opinion lack the depth of each characters. On the last episode, instead getting a clear picture of the story's climax, I had more questions instead of getting the "ah kaya pala..." moments. They could've established the importance of Alex's role as the 6th child of the 6th child and not just have explained everything in one episode as a narration. I am proud of this series though, it shows that we can excel and compete in the anime world, but I also feel that we still have a long way to run.
