Big disappointment of a movie. Sure, gorgeous visuals but at the expense of a storyline that goes absolutely no where. The film pretends to have patriarchal commentary but ends up as a mash of random scenes that waste time and hold the audience hostage without saying anything.
I am a fan of all of the actors in this film so I was disappointed to find the characters they played were at the mercy of a screen writer that wrote random scenes, taped them on a wall and drunkenly threw a dart to see where it landed. Often it landed like a discarded cigarette butt on a restroom floor.
Mark Ruffalo's and Emma Stone’s lines were amusing at times but offer the same results of paying Shakespeare to write a McDonald menu. I’ve never experience a lack of substance this large before.
