Sylok, The Defiled (GNK-1996)

The show followed the Rule of Cool. Animations are fluid and weighty, every character is meant to pop out from the fitting backgrounds. Explosions and flashes of light from blaster fire and lightsabers clashing act as visual storytelling, not just the grandeur of a flashy kids show. Villains are all memorable and terrifying, the good guys are methodical and always keep a level head. This show does not have very many words to say aloud, but through its visualization it brings forth the storytelling aspect. It is the literal amalgamation of "Show, don't tell." 6/5. Whether you're a little kid who loves Star Wars, an old-time fan or just entering in, this show is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys the Clone Wars-era.
