By the end of the second episode The Eddy really takes off and is captivating. Like a good jazz piece, its tone is by turns melodic and edgy. The characterisation of family and romantic relationships evolves throughout the eight episodes, drawing you in, moving from tauma and dysfucntion to warmth and affection, all the while developing the crime drama back story. The only problem, it suddenly stops at episode 8. It must go on!
