It doesn’t make a lot of sense but it doesn’t have to - it’s the 80’s! Great step-up from the original film as far as visual effects, score, acting, and production go. I did wish that the first scene at Themyscira could tie more into the 1984 story arc - I do not really understand the connection between “lies” and wishing for your wants. I also wished that the movie could explain why it’s specifically set in the year 1984. A little too long but other than that, I enjoyed the film overall. A definite improvement over the first film.
