Finally a show that truly shows what we as emergency calltakers and dispatchers do on a daily basis. I just recently retired after 30 years, and in all those years no other show has come even close to showing what we hear, what we do to assist our units in the field, both police and fire/EMS. It shows just how emotionally, mentally and physically draining our jobs can be. How we worry for the victim and our responding units. It shows what we do "behind the scenes", how we cope, and how we interact with each other. I hope that series has a long run, citizens need to understand we are the true first... first responders. Those bad calls affect us too. We laugh, cry, worry, pray and hope with each shift the last 3 of those things we don't do during our 8, 10. 12 hr shifts. Nice job ABC, keep it going!
