The art is different, but it was very appealing, especially the transitions etc. I do admit, it was pretty cliche, but i felt like the movie in general is pretty dark ngl and if I'd watched it at a younger age, I wouldn't have understand how dark the story was. I don't think its suited for even a 10 year old to watch this tbh, it feel like it should be 15+, because it does show some sensitive things that can trigger younger audience. The boy literally fell into depression and lost all happiness for everything after being completely being tormented, harassed, and bullies for 3 years? in school. I did felt like the english voice, when jack first met acacia and sang with her, his english voice didn't really match for his age. I kinda did felt weirded out when he already fell obsessed with acacia after meeting her and when Madeleine picked him up and was trying to fix his clock up, he was like fantasizing about her, well they were like multiple miniature versions of her, etc. Me and my sis did questioned when he was born with full of hair, etc... he didn't look like a newborn but like a 2 year old ngl. I did like the design for the acacia, I just wished they gave her different outfits to work with. Jack design kinda creeped me out at times, with his big green eyes, big head, and white pale pale skin, but i really really liked his clown look. The end kinda hit hard, how his time had stopped, and how he accepted it. I feel like there were confusing parts like when he was in the train and some vampire dude was chasing him, idk if that had some meaning, but i a 15 year old didn't even understand it. I did wish the story plot was a bit smooth, it was flonky here and there. I think it's a good movie, the music choices were very interesting, especially joe's lmaooo. I did cringe, idk if he was doing some poem or rapping but it was interesting. Honestly, i though he was kidding about like acacia and that he was making someone up when jack was asking for acacia but didn't know her name. But why Joe had to act like school is his personal kingdom? Like its just school bruh...
