Doesn't seem to have a point. Slaves fight, backstabbing politician, and out of sudden there's this love story, and then slaves fighting again and then mountain erupts. The whole story is everywhere, haywire and gives no point at all though we know the main point is about the mount eruption. But each scene does not jive well with the mountain eruption story.
