Slow and unnecessary plodding. A few good battle scenes. While the feel for the period was solid it seemed to intentionally have scenes that lingered much too long. Boring. Also, no real depth. It preview was compelling. It should have been great. My girlfriend fell asleep.

For a movie that screams in the viewers face regarding tolerance it’s lack of tolerance and its own bigotry is off putting. Seemed hypocritical to rightly heralded tolerance while continually mocking and promoting stereotypes towards a significant portion of average America. I enjoyed the musical productions. Edit - July 2023 - I gave this movie a pretty specific review after watching it, but now, after a bit of time has passed, I do not recall ever watching it and watching the trailer did not trigger any memory of it. I just happen to see this old review and it caught my attention. The review does sound like it's mine but the movie was seemingly just that forgettable, even with a great cast.
