This movie is so emotionally powerful. Belonging. Isn’t that what we all want? It may be a movie for kids, but it’s a story for adults.

Janelle Monae gets 5 stars! She’s everything! The movie gets 2 stars, and they go to production. The first Knives Out was so damn good, suspenseful and satisfying. The sequel, though, one second. Let me finish my wine. Such a disappointment.

Production design: 10! Storyline: boring as hell. After 2h30m, I find myself asking, “What just happened? Who’s who? Who wants what? What’s what?” Plot is confusing and difficult to follow. And it’s unnecessarily looong! Movies like Gone With the Wind, Titanic and Magnolia, for example, are long for reason, not to show off production expenses. Is he the one? (Hello, Matrix). It’s like throwing Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings in a blender to see what it becomes. Overall, high expectations, but sadly frustrated.
