I watched this because the trailer intrigued me.
It started out as a Can You Believe This? fun feeling story.
It took not one, but several dark turns that were nonetheless compelling.
The bottom line, for me, is that it is heartbreaking on so many levels.
This film is so engrossing and masterfully edited that I honestly missed a huge component of the story until it was revealed. I actually rewound to double check exactly how I'd missed it. I still don't know, but it made me more bereft than I had felt before.
This is a fascinating film that, unless you're made of stone, will make you feel such a wide range of emotions.
Chief among these is anger. Two people involved in the situation these brothers have suffered through seem to be basically nonplussed by their involvement in something so deeply unethical. They both just kind of shrug it off.
People are not objects. Their feelings and lives matter.
I applaud Tim Wardle for bringing this story to light and for doing it with a fine balance of factual information and empathy.
