I did not appreciate how they abandoned the original so much. They made it brighter and too colorful. They didn't keep to child innocence and made it darker. The original right have villains our sketchy characters. There was also elluding to sex and drinking in one of the numbers. Not ok for a child's movie. The cast was chosen poorly. Van Dyck was cast bc of hisamazing talent and being one of the greats, the man cast as Jack was boring and unknown. I do love Emily Blunt and she did well, but nothing like Julie Andrews. Way over did it and not in a good way. I was sorely disappointed.
