I watched it to learn more about racism in the 50s. That part was eye opening but the haunted basement just took away from what I expected the real focus to be on and made it stupid. Someone posted 'muddled' and that's exactly correct. If the show had stuck to the basic story line of racism I think it would have been educational instead of seeming like the writer was just trying to jam everything he could possibly think of into it.
