This is one of the finest offerings in horror television available. It takes place in the fictional town of Villefranche in the middle of a mystical forest. The characters are extremely interesting and the acting is top notch. The show is episodic, but has a continuing back story that becomes central by the end of the second season. It is in French with English subtitles. Both seasons are outstanding. Definitely worth the watch.

This is not only an exceptionally good horror movie, but it is also a poignant commentary on the dark duality of human nature and a chilling allegory about our country's inhumane past. The acting is outstanding, the plot is perfectly placed, and the humor is sprinkled in at just the right moments. Definitely worth the watch!

This movie has an extremely interesting premise about a futuristic society in which single people are given a short period of time to find a mate or they are turned into animals. The problem is that the concept cannot sustain itself for a full length film. Would have been much better as an hour long Black Mirror episode. Not worth the watch.

Slow paced, thoughtful zombie movie set in France. Hard to do something original with this genre, but this movie definitely pulls it off successfully. If you need lots of zombie slaying action, this one is not for you. If, however, you ever wondered about the more sensitive side of the apocalypse, give this a try. Worth the watch.

Admittedly, you either get the Coen brothers or you don't. If, like me, you wait anticipantly for each new installment, this movie is among their best. It has all of the inexplicably strange, edgy humor that we expect, combined with interesting characters and original story telling. Standouts include James Franco, who nails his role as a hapless bank robber, and Tim Blake Nelson as the perfect comic/ musical cowboy (and movie's namesake). Definitely worth the watch!

Kind of like Gran Torino but not nearly as good. While Eastwood turns in another great acting performance, the movie really just doesn't travel very far from beginning to end. Without much plot movement, it could have perhaps been improved with a bit more action, but that is also sorely lacking. Definitely not my favorite Eastwood flick. Probably not worth the watch.

Hereditary had all of the makings of a great and really original horror movie. Interesting plot, minimal cheap scares, excellent acting, and intelligent dialogue. However, the last ten minutes of the movie were so inexplicably bad I cannot help but wonder what the writer and director were thinking. It was inconsistent with the rest of the plot, poorly executed, and frankly laughably silly. If you can excuse the ending, the remainder of the movie nonetheless makes it worth the watch.

As a longtime fan of the original, I found this sequel to be perfectly written and executed. Emily Blunt was impeccable as Mary Poppins, and while Lin-Manuel Miranda took a bit of time to grow on me, he nonetheless provided an impressive performance. The story follows precisely the same formula we loved from the original and manages to ring all of the bells the true fan needed ringing. Well worth the watch!
