I don’t know. What Claire did was wrong and should have never allowed herself to get into that situation, but I don’t see any grooming on her part at all. Eric made the first move, and as a matter of fact she reacted as she should by saying no. She tried to put a stop to it. But she ended up giving in to her attraction towards him. From that point on no one was forcing, tricking, or grooming anybody. Granted most adults feel a 17 year old isn’t old enough to make those kind of assessments, it’s not like he was 12 and knew nothing of sex and she came in pretending to be his best friend. Telling him things that makes him feel closer to her. Then going in for the kill. That’s grooming. If anything he was grooming and seducing her. Like I said, what she did WAS NOT RIGHT. But she wasn’t grooming him either.
