One of the best pieces of fiction ever written. The way the story progresses is so brilliant, it takes you on an unforgettable journey. The characters can be related to on different levels and undergo realistic development throughout, making them feel human, flawed humans, easy to get attached to. The development of the protagonist especially is unimaginable! The story is amazing with it's plot twists and cliff hangers, the soundtracks ary from being emotional to being creepy, setting the perfect mood in each episode... This masterpiece deals with so much, it basically starts of as a piece of fiction to escape from reality but it keeps throwing you back at the real world, and I love it so much for that. It expands on topics such as religion, corruption, politics and war in an incredible manner. It portrays the cruelty in a beautiful world as well as the beauty in a cruel world, and shows the struggle behind finding the truth that has since long been buried. Is the struggle, are so many lives, worth seeking it? Another thing I live about AoT is that, it doesn't just throw you one perspective of the story to look at, but shows all sides of the story. The fact that in war, no one's in the right or the wrong. Who, in the end, is the real enemy? How do you end the cycle of hatred? It's no fairytale and reality in the AoT world is just as harsh as in our world, there is no peaceful way out. In short, this isn't just an anime, it's a legendary epic that you're missing out on if you haven't watched it. If you can tolerate violence, go ahead and watch it, and keep moving forward!
