"Court" depicts the typical Indian reality of centuries old traditional value system grappling with modern/liberal structures and ethos. The movie shows how Indian value inheritances like casteism, regionalism, fatalism, etc. play out in a modern structure of legal rational courts of Justice, in specific and in criminal justice system, in general. The movie is completely realistic, as people with stereotypic value system go about interacting with liberal structures, rendering a disheartening cocktail - which happens to be reality of majority of India barring a few islands of progressivism.
