I have none of the eloquence or articulation of my fellow reviewers, but as a woman (who by the way, has suffered with her own mental health throughout the years) I found it haunting & powerful - it was still playing on my mind the following day. I was left reeling by the jaw-dropping insight into the hardships endured by pioneer women and knocked sideways by the unexpected twist towards the end of the film ....The ending had me wanting to scream at the screen in confusion & 'lack of closure', but I've now read some film buffs' insights into both scenes, which has helped me make sense of them. Not an easy watch at times, but I think worthwhile and valuable.
