It's an absolutely beautiful world that you can tell the design team poured their heart and souls into. The gameplay is varied and highly customizable. The skill system needs a bit of work (as to play a different play style you need to start a different game. You cannot reset your stats and there is no way to know a power is useless without using valuable points to obtain it.), but is solid. I enjoy that when you kill an enemy, they stay dead. No respawn for fodder. That is the end of the praise for it.
Now the reason it ABSOLUTELY deserves 1-star.
You basically play as a ยฎโฌ+@ยฎdโฌd rocket raccoon (from the broken English, to being a racoon who can build powerful weapons on the fly and is excellent in combat.). And by that, I mean, although words like "strong" exist and are used in-universe by the narrator, "stronk" is the modus lingua. Along with many other idiotic perversions of language absolutely drenching the game. That's not where the perversion ends...
It is HEAVILY morality based, but not your morality...unless you think people who eat meat SHOULD be killed...yes, REALLY. And believe climate change and industry is innately destructively evil. Oh, and apparently nature is a deity and evolution its prophet. Good choices are penalized as "dark aura" and poor choices are given "light aura."
The childish, almost "special needs" feel to the dialogue and plot points, alone, knock off 2 stars from what could easily have been an 4-star+ game. But then the ceaseless preaching of perverted ideals that are both contradictory and inane is beyond the pale.
If you keep it on mute, and skip through the dialogue focusing purely on gameplay, you can enjoy it. Though it gets a little long in the tooth and repetitive (so many similar "puzzles" and quests.). However, if you ACTUALLY care about story, HARD pass.
