Love the show overall, just not Ryouko. She felt like a nuisance which always kept MC from achieving what he wants. If her character was dropped it would not have changed the plot any bit. Maybe Yuliy's question of 'what is a father?' could've been delivered more convincingly. Would've loved to see more of the tension between Yuliy and Philip, we still don't know why his parents were attacked. Above all, I felt that Ryouko was only used as a love interest (I use this term lightly. Yuliy's stoic reactions to Ryouko's 'flirting' pretty much sums up my feelings whenever I hear her) in the story which unfortunately ruins it somewhat, although she's trained in swordsmanship, she doesn't have experience in hunting so it would've been more realistic for Yuliy's team to help him. It's disappointing that we cannot get to see more of the teamwork which was excellent in the first episode, instead, we have Ryouko. It could've been better nonetheless. Well, I am eagerly waiting for a new season to come out.

Stunning characters and a heartfelt story. Worth every tear shed.
