Kind of a downer from the first movie to be honest. All of the things that made the first movie amazing was neglected completely in the 2nd movie. The character development is seriously lacking in this film whereas in the previous film the character development was completely on point. This film felt too crammed with different plot lines. They probably could have made another movie out of it honestly. It's sad because the previous film was so patient with the plot line, they took a story line and spanned over 16 years, longer in fact. This movie however all took place in about a week, making the actual events of the story seem a lot less detrimental in retrospect. For example, I had issues with the wedding being right after a mass genocide of moor folk, I know their made up characters, but it still seemed hecka disrespectful and quite frankly, rather disturbing. Stephen of the first movie had such an in-depth character, but the evil queen in this movie was just straight up crazy, while it may have helped to establish a firmly hated villan, the back story to go along with such a villan was firmly lacking. Despite this, I must say that they did throw in quite a few welcome surprises to the movie that make it worth it overall.
