Of course, all King works are flawed. But if you miss that ensemble-cast-end-of-the-world magic from his epic “The Stand”, this collaboration with his son, Owen King, will prove an absolute winner. A great premise with great characters, all against the typical, brilliantly-portrayed backdrop of small-town America. Familiar elements are more of a welcome return to King’s golden days rather than retreading old material. Highly recommend!
