Two Paragraphs and the Truth - if you loved the sound and style of Van's "Poetic Champions Compose", then you will love this release - the songs, all but one freshly written by Van, may not be quite up to the same soul stirring level of those in PCC, but they are the type of songs that will all grow on you with each successive play. Hint to baby boomers - if you own a functioning good quality turntable, then pick up the vinyl version, as the overall sound on vinyl does this disc slightly better justice than the CD. If you don't own a turntable, then go buy one, this new release is as good a reason as any to do so!
