This did not age well. It basically shows a young woman, who is just reaching adulthood, as being an obsessive, slutty, stupid person. It almost points the finger at her behavior as being the problem when the real issue is the men in this film. The fathers are the ones who have been responsible to teach this girl throughout her life. Two scenes really stood out as being outlandish. The first is a beach scene where the young girls are on the beach topless with their fathers, and one of them actually pulls her dad into the water and has a water fight with him. Yeah, that's not going to happen. All the dad's I know would freak to see their kids like this. The second, it has this young girl who started an affair with her "uncle", or her dad's best friend, and she takes a nude Polaroid of herself and gives it to him on a tram, and has no care of who sees it. So it makes it seem as tho this is the norm and acceptable behavior by young adults in that time. The movie could have had some good qualities had their been some actually repentance for their sins or some character growth, but nope nothing. This father that had the affair with his BFFs daughter finds out all along his BFF is sleeping with his wife. So everyone's just running around doing everyone I suppose. Again making the women slutty and flighty. How absurd. This probably should have been some kind of warning about Hollywood. I mean come on, the misuse of young girls in your care. The nudity just for nudity sake. Normalizing sexual behaviors and no modesty for young girls to see and watch while making these men, who are over twice their age look sexy and worthy? It's awful and pretty disgusting if you think about it. I choose to watch this, as I like the cast and I haven't seen it yet. Been into watching older movies lately. This was a total bust, do not recommend.

What an adorable & fun film to watch with the family. It's something anyone can enjoy, young or old. I love the sweet message & the reminder that no matter how old you get, you should never lose that child like spirit we all have when we are young. The zest for life, the feeling that anything is possible & our dreams are possible. The movie also tackles family dynamics & dealing with the loss of those we love the most & how devestating and confusing that can be. It does a wonderful job showing us how our friends (even imaginary ones) can give us the love and support we need in the hardest times of our lives. They did a wonderful job with the characters & picked a great cast to pull it off. The little girl who lead the cast was fantastic. I enjoyed watching her. So I highly recommend this fun and creative film!

OMG! Why haven't I watched this sooner??? Fantastic cast! Story is entertaining & keeps you interested. Sylvester Stallone rocks it as usual. He is the King 👑 & demands respect. Just watched all of season 1 and ready for season 2!!! My only hope is regardless how long it stays on for, just give us a proper ending okay!! Tired of being invested in something & it gets cut short & they won't even do 1 more show to wrap it up!! NETFLIX is SO bad about that. Ridiculous. So now I usually wait to watch a show from them to make sure they finish it. But this show rocks & I look forward to season 2!!

Not your ordinary Christmas movie. I am rating high bc I enjoy the fantasy movies & love the main actors. I really like the message here - You should be careful what you wish for & realize people aren't perfect but family is forever. They are the ones that will have your back. Casting was overall good, and I do like that they put in plenty of funny moments to break up the horror. Seems like the more years that go by, the more chaotic and fast paced things seem (for all of us). And with age always comes that realization that nothing ever stays the same, which can be incredibly sad & comfusing for anyone, especially a kid growing up. This movie really highlights that theme....that life/ppl/events may change, but it doesn't mean it's bad; just different. Cool effects throughout the movie, I can tell they had the money to do it properly. Worth a watch.

Great cast. Overall cute, love Brooke Shields. I do think the daughter was being a little snot in the movie without really making it right. Although Miranda Cosgrove is a cute little thing. And the explanation of what happened in the past was so short, so rushed, it leaves you wanting. They should have made a 5 min intro with them as young adults. Then maybe a real conversation about dad with the daughter. The exchange with the doctor could have been a little more flirty/steamy too. But you needed more interaction of the main characters moving past their history. A few tweaks and it improves it overall. But it's cute, worth a watch if your looking for something light, romantic or funny.

Starting off, cast was fantastic! I mean with the two main leads, I figured it would be great. I appreciated the raw complexity & emotions expressed in this movie. The actors did great showing the emotional gravity of each characters situation. So, in this movie two people meet (not so good intro), then miss one another, to finally cross each others paths again. After a rocky beginning, they start to connect with one other; something neither have done in quite some time. It seemed to me, both not only had issues with cultivating personal relationships but also with giving trust to other people. Both Harvey & Kate have gone through life reserved, aloof & the end result is loneliness. When you are lonely, you start to feel disconnected from those around you, it causes social awkwardness which results in isolation. I do think something this movie does well, is show the viewers how both characters have unintentionally create this themselves, but it wasn't done out of malice. Both are unhappy with how life is going at present & want to change it. Kate, we see, uses her mom as a shield - not even realizing it. She carries a secret, tragic past which likely has her asking if she is a person who deserves happiness or love? Harvey has immersed himself in his work, to ignore his failures & hide away to avoid looking too closely at himself. Kate finally asks him why did he leave his ex wife & kid. His reply, "I woke up one morning & realized I didn't belong in that house." I took the statement to reflect that he could see how unhappy his wife was & in turn his daughter as well & didn't want to be the cause of that unhappiness; & maybe part of him knew that he wasn't doing the best job as husband or dad. So when we see these two characters meet & watch them both start to "wake up" & can see how even they are surprised by it, it's emotionally satisfying. These characters finally find someone who really understands. And this is the key - finding another soul like yours to help heal, to help grow, to show the love & acceptance both need. Life's messy, we all know that. I just really liked the overall message to maybe slow it down and really connect to others. Emma & Dustin were great of course, the whole cast nailed it! I'll watch it again 😊

Really sad to say this but I did not care much for this remake. It was neat to see some of my favorite scenes (tho not all were done the same) and hear some of my favorite songs (tho they missed 1 of my favorites) but overall it was a disappointment. There are some big issues with this remake. The first was casting Beyonce as Nala. I am a fan of Beyonce-love her music but she was NOT right for Nala. Picking someone bc they are a big household name is not the way to go. Her voice was not right and it made everything off balance and distracting. I won't go into the other issues. Sigh. I wish I would've waited until it came out on DVD. Casting is vital for a movie. I am worried about upcoming Disney favorites-if they don't cast right and make the characters similar to the originals it is a mistake. Aladdin was cast awesome. Emma was PERFECT for Bell. Cinderella cast was amazing! I won't go to another if they don't cast correctly....these are movies I grew up watching and its disappointing when it's not right. Just like when they turn a book into a movie and completely change the character. Sigh. So disappointed Disney. I hope if they make Pocohantas they do it correctly. 😥
