Steven Universe is a great show with great morals and LGBT representation. I remember watching season 1 i wasn't very hooked with the show since Steven would be the one making bad choices and had a very annoying voice, but when i came back for season 2 i saw big improvements like Steven starting to realize how dangerous the gem stuff can be, and his voice starting to be more tolerable. Now I will say that Steven Universe isn't for everyone. I was on YouTube one day and I saw a review for Steven Universe and after watching it, I came to the conclusion that the opinion isn't really that valid. Before you say that it's wrong to say people's opinions are invalid but hear me out, I think there should be a line where opinions start to be invalid. The person who made the review completely missed the point of the show and called character development "filler". Overall i think Steven Universe is a great show and i would definitely recommend it.
