i... want to love it so bad? like everything about it could’ve been amazing. the concepts, Faerie, the betrayals, the descriptions, the creeping darkness, even the weird toxic dominating relationship between jude and cardan could’ve been great to read. but the writing made me want to pull my teeth out. especially once you get to the ending of the trilogy and it’s just? wrapped up somehow in what? three pages? it honestly feels as though i’m reading a rough draft the hasn’t been gone back through and improved upon yet. is the concept TOTALLY AWESOME? hell yes. does the writing TOTALLY KILL IT? unfortunately also yes.
