The sets, costumes, hairstyles, floral arrangements, surroundings etc were perfectly done BUT the whole effect was spoiled by the actor playing the Duke of Hastings. Not that I’ve got anything against POC being one myself. He was a huge disappointment. Why? Because he gave a gay vibe from the start; what with his pierced ear and gay gait and all. Checked him out on net and voila; he is truly gay in real life. Not against LGBTQ but this character should have been played by someone appropriate as the duke was portrayed by Julia Quinn as an exceedingly masculine and handsome man. However Phoebe Dynevor didn’t disappoint as Daphne.
