Informative, intelligent and articulate - describes both the underrated P.K Nair and the documentary itself. Nair shares his vast wealth of knowledge of Indian and World cinema with the viewer, as he used to with students at the Film Institute. I thought I knew film but he introduced me to a whole new realm of cinema history, yet there is an undercurrent of sadness and frustration. Since his retirement and subsequent death, the films Nair worked so hard to salvage and preserve may no longer be receiving the due care and attention as they once did under his guardianship.
