This album is a masterpiece. It’s one of those albums that gets better and better each time you hear it. If there is one thing I wish was different - I wish the vocals were mixed a little louder on a couple of songs.
But the lyrical content, vocals, guitars and overall combination of all the various elements are fantastic throughout the album.
I love seeing bands go out on a limb and put out music authentic to themselves, and this album is nothing short of that. It’s unbelievable how they make such abrupt signature transitions sound so smooth and easy.
Overall, this may be taking the title as my favorite A7X album. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and I feel like I’m my personal music taste is growing aligned with their new sound, but regardless, it is fantastic.
