Dog Person

This is really a movie that needed to happen. Despite the strange cliches and stereotypes, it delves into some big issues. Not often do you get a movie about a teenager scared to come out as gay, and his worst nightmare having to happen. It also addresses societal issues deeper into the gay community like the disapproval a lot of black and Jewish people get if they’re gay.

The fact that an entire country is able to fall into true and none-stop anarchy because of the NFFA is a terrifying premise, and I love it. A sort of man creates monster, monster destroys man scenario. I will say, on the national level, it could be a bit difficult for this to actually happen. Usually, I’m not a fan of overly explained movies that go way further than the basic premise, but I can make an exception for this one.

Immediately the thing that bothered me was the fact that Britannic was actually hit by a German sea mine, not a torpedo. The CGI looks a bit weird at some points and the ship goes down incomprehensibly quickly during the final plunge, and watching it would make you think it went down in 18 minutes instead of 55 minutes.
