I appreciate all these beautiful reviews about this film’s cinematography, characterization and actor skill—i just don’t know why there isn’t more reviews about its social necessity. In a time when per usual, our leadership thrives on our deadly social divides, movies like this bridge gaps between us and more importantly, fuel understanding about a problem in law enforcement no one is talking about because it’s easier to “evilize” them.
I hope everyone in America watches this film. Not to excuse police brutality but instead, to humanize the problem. It’s a necessary solution to a whole other type of fire.
