Just watched the movie. Honestly speaking, it's one of the best video game adaptations I've seen compared to the likes of Hollywood grade movies Mortal Kombat and Assassin's Creed, which had great action scenes but not so great storylines. But, this movie was different. It stayed true to how the game was with nostalgic soundtracks from Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends, not to forget the action scenes of them fighting and sending troops into the air like how the game's trailers were. Yes, some parts are a little over the top but I really enjoyed it. As for the storyline, those who aren't familiar with the game will definitely have some "this doesn't make sense" moments. But for those who are long-term fans like me, you will enjoy it fully. It had me going on my feet and fanboying hard on some scenes! Would not recommend you trusting the reviews given by IGN and IMDb. Try it yourself if you have played the games from the earlier series. This movie truly brings me back to simpler days of playing it on my PS2. Thank you to the team that had created this! 10/10 would recommend!
