I found it enjoyable, despite not feeling terribly invested in any of the characters. The least dislikeable, for me, was Paige, the therapist wife of detective Mike. There is a lot of personal life drama not directly connected to the crime or detective work, giving a slightly soapy feel to it. Viewers will know that the killer is one of the lead characters in the first episode and know which one by episode 3 at least. There are a couple of other characters that the audience is invited to wonder about, but only briefly and not convincingly. For this reason, there's a small suspense deficit and a viewer might find themselves craving a good old unexpected twist. I found the non-ending a bit disappointing too, but it's obviously intended to lead to a second series. The acting is good and just enough intrigue persists (how will he be caught, why can't the characters remember things, will he kill again, will the father be convicted, etc) to make me watch a second run.
