Abysmal, haphazard, incessant spoiler-alerts across NBC networks and push notifications on mobile devices from countless media outlets, despite how hard you try to ignore or temporarily disable them. The time difference is NO excuse. The Beijing Olympics were done well despite the varying time zones of fans across the world. Worse, NBC’s LAUGHABLE Peacock app is USELESS. Minute-long highlights and that’s it—for days, long after team and individual scores have been posted and advanced closer and closer to the medal podium. This channel should NEVER be allowed to broadcast—and spoil, just for the sake of the so-called “Breaking News” that’s a ceaseless branding on EVERY news story by every anchor or Olympic commentator. NBC really has ruined the games at a time when the global community needs the escape during a health crisis that has caused suffering, setbacks, and heartbreaking loss. I’m still rooting for Team USA🇺🇸, but given the lack of crowds in the arena to cheer our Olympians on to give them the boost of adrenaline, support, and encouragement as they push themselves to the limit to represent not only their hometowns but also our country, we’re denied the chance to cheer them on from the States (and around the world). The nail biting as to how each of our athletes is going to perform when we tune in to their events in primetime (again, when we REALLY NEED the distraction to support the U.S. team, this is the DULLEST and worst produced Olympics in the history of the sport! Oh great, another spoiler alert just came in regarding US women’s soccer. Ugh!!!
